Abstract依佛經說,有情輪迴轉生的過程為中有,生有,本有,死有四期. 生有指托胎的最初一剎那,中有舊譯為中陰,用以說明自死有至生有的連繫體. 佛教認為有情的投胎 -- 生有,須三事和合,即性交,月經,中有.《大毘婆沙論》與《俱舍論》對中有的投胎有詳細敘述,即:若有相當的業,就於瞬間感得,前往投生,其決定的因素為前世業. 依佛陀說,有情是五蘊和合而成,若在前滅後生有個連續者,那就是業力,所謂輪迴就是業的相續. 部派佛教時期,犢子部提出「非即非離蘊」以說明輪迴轉生,類似此種思想的是化地部的窮生死蘊,正量部之果報識,經量部之細意識或一味蘊,大眾部的根本識,皆是指隨經驗不斷變化之連續體. 生有觀必然牽涉到中有觀,此為輪迴主體的肯定與否定問題. 作者認為,若把無我緣起與輪迴思想作不同立場的解釋,則業的意義自可明瞭.
