| Abstract | 本文提出中國佛教因受限於文化，語言，文字結構及思惟特性等，而未能完全遵循印度佛學的原型，卻開創出特別能突顯中國人思惟方式的--禪淨融合主義. 提出下面幾點討論，來說明禪淨融合的主張，確實是中國人特有之思想產物.
一. 中國人思惟方法之特徵：
1. 具象重於抽象
2. 個別性重於群體性
3. 融合重於對立
二. 融合主義的意思：從正，反兩面來探討，更有助了解.
三. 探討禪淨融合的理論和方法：禪，淨都不過是一種方法，二者都具非論理性的直觀思惟方法和神秘的宗教體驗.
四. 禪，淨融合主義的評議：提出白隱禪師的嚴厲批評，認為禪優於淨的想法，因中日不同的思惟方法，以突顯出中國人的思惟模式中，和諧融匯才是最高的理想.
