Abstract繼1983、1987年的大型佛教雕塑展以來，睽違國內多年以久的佛教雕塑展，再度由故宮博物院籌劃舉辦。由七位藏家出其珍藏，展品中有難得的南北朝隋唐造像，諸如北魏的阿難頭造像、北周的圓雕菩薩立像等。其餘展品，尚有木雕和泥塑造型的佛像計100尊，圖版採全景及局部特寫方式編排。
