| Abstract | 中華電子佛典協會(Chinese Buddhist Electronic Text Association, CBETA) 於1999年1月20日在中央研究院舉辦國際「電子佛典推進協議會」(Electronic Buddhist Text Initiative, EBTI)發表會上，首度對國外團體發表其成果，得到許多與會學者專家的肯定與讚美，除對「中華電子佛典協會」的工作有正面的意義與鼓舞外，無形中也給予「中華電子佛典協會」成員一年來默默耕耘很大的獎勵。是以，謹藉此文讓各界瞭解「中華電子佛典協會」製作漢文電子佛典的緣起、目標、組織架構，及工作進行中的各項活動，如參與相關會議、國內外的參訪、取得日本《大正新脩大藏經》的授權等。此外，並詳明「中華電子佛典協會」如何解決困難、開發程式、處理缺字、訂定作業流程等項目。並且，就1998年底「成果發表」的光碟內容、電子檔分類、CBETA電子檔的殊勝處、舉例說明採用SGML檔案的方法、以及未來展望等相關資訊，與關心佛典電子化的先進分享，期能因此獲得更多的指正與協助。 |
