| Abstract | 在工業革命後，全球資本主義化之態勢業已形成，企業體，已成社會運作的主單位動力. 因此，企業之經營與管理，便成了現代社會的重要知識部門及實際操作活動. 企業管理這學科也因此而迅速發展起來，成當代顯學之一.
但在整體社會中，仍有不少領域是無法以資本主義模式去處理的，仍有許多機構並不以企業經營之型態運作. 對這些領域，活動及機構，企業管理學其實已無涵括，也無法有效說明之. 近來學界針對此問題，發展出有關非營利事業之討論，正是為有效處理這現象.
過去，佛教團體的現代化，常被比喻為企業化經營，且對此趨勢施以褒貶. 本文則藉企業與非營利事業之區分，來辨明佛教團體之經營管理，其實並非企業管理，而應是非營利事業之管理型態. 然後，以佛光山教團為例，說明佛教團體非營利事業的理論提倡，論域拓展，實踐活動各方面，仍有具體貢獻，及由此來觀察它對國內企業管理學界的啟示. 以期達到與企業共創人間淨土的目標. |
