| Abstract | 觀音信仰的最初形態到底是什麼樣的?這個涉及觀音信仰起源的學術難題在整個國際和國內學術界還都沒有解決。本文認為,觀音信仰起源于自古相傳在印度大陸南端海上解救“黑風海難”和“羅刹鬼難”的寶馬信仰,而最初的觀音信仰形態正是建立在這種傳說基礎上的現世救難信仰,由此進一步發展才出現了觀音的淨土接引信仰、智慧解脫信仰等不同的信仰形態。

What appearance was the original form of the belief in Avalokitesvara? This academic difficult question which concerned the origin of the belief in Avalokitesvara is not yet solved within the whole international and domestic academic circle.
