In Real Commentary on the True Teaching,Wang Daiyu has offered a comprehensive comment on retributive theory in Islam, Confucianism and Buddhism. Based on relevant theory and life common sense, he criticized the retributive theories in both Confucianism and Buddhism. He has remarked, Confucianism Yishi(一世)retributive theory has insurmountable contradictions and its system is not scientific; Buddhism Sanshi(三世)retributive theory is repugnant to common sense; only Islam Ershi (二世)retributive theory is the most scientific and reasonable one. In history, when comparing and communicating with different cultures "Every form of beauty has its uniqueness, it is precious to appreciate other forms of beauty with openness,"meanwhile there are also criticisms and questionings. Wang Daiyu’s explanation, criticism and questioning on retributive theory of Islam, Confucianism and Buddhism are also cultural communication. Although these ideas might be discussed further, they play a positive role in the overall development of Chinese culture.
