Abstract 以道信與弘忍為標誌性人物的東山法門繼承了菩提達摩的禪學精神,啟發和成就了中國早期禪宗的總結者和集大成者 — 六祖惠能。東山法門將在達摩禪學中居於首要位置的佛性本體歸結為自心本性,並且試圖以"守一"和"守心"的方便形式為普通一般根器的學人提供一種可以普遍遵循、並且貫徹始終的修習模式。東山法門是以"守一"或"守心"的方便形式來貫通本來清凈的心性本體與掃相離妄的般若空觀的方法和精神的。後來惠能繼承了東山法門"即心是佛"的心性本體思想,同時非常強調自性本有般若之智,以佛性本體與般若方法在當前一念心上的直接合一,揚棄了"看心看凈"的方便模式,基本上完成和構築了中國禪宗"直指人心,見性成佛"的理論和實踐特徵。
