Abstract在現存的南宋和元代繪畫之中,有不少在以江南禪寺為首之禪林製作的禪宗繪畫,主要包含了面部描繪追求寫實性的禪宗高僧肖像畫,亦即所謂的「頂相」,以及多半以水墨簡筆繪製而成的禪宗人物畫。從現存作品來看,無論是頂相或禪宗人物畫,除了畫像本身之外,多半還有禪僧的贊文題寫於上。對於頂相的畫贊關係,前人已有相關研究,本文不擬重複,故僅聚焦於禪宗人物畫上。就傳世的南宋和元代禪宗人物畫而言,以布袋和尚為主角的布袋圖數量最多,因此本文將以布袋圖為例,試著分析其圖像類型和贊文內容,以求釐清圖像與贊文之間的關係,並藉由故宮藏張宏〈布袋羅漢圖〉指出宋元布袋圖的圖像和贊文傳統對後世所起之規範性作用。
