| 抄録 | 1. "Pure Land" is the utopia of Buddhism. Its appearance marked the major transition of Buddhism from negative renunciation to positive response to the world，and finally participation in the world. It also brought the major change in the theory of nirvana.
2. The pure land concept of Chinese Buddhism is mainly two-fold：Amitabha pure land and Maitreya pure land. In general，they reflect the dissatisfaction with the existing world，and the construction of an ideal world. The contents and the paths of actualization include other-world pure land，mind-only pure land，Maitreya's descending to the earth, transformation of consciousness, etc. Finally，"earthly" pure land is the culmination.
