Abstract佛教在西元前六世紀,起源於印度,于東漢明帝時期傳入中國,洛陽白馬寺為中國第一座佛寺。佛教因其有嚴密的教理、戒律、儀典和組織,能過適應社會各階層的精神需求和思想寄託,在南北朝時代已遍地開花,果實纍纍。佛教在印度時期與雕刻,畫像類的美術已經存在很深的聯繫,特別是印度北部的犍陀羅式佛教造像藝術,受到希臘藝術的影響,是東西方藝術的結晶。佛教傳到中國后,很快與傳統的書畫藝術相結合,書法用於寫經,繪畫用於佛畫。並在這一過程中吸收印度的繪畫技法,既推動了佛教的發展,又提升了書畫藝術內涵,二相其美。下面分以下幾個時期對佛教書畫的流變作一闡述。
