| Abstract | 蒙古佛教的流傳有兩個路線，一為漢地的佛教，二為土
番的佛教，尤其是忽必烈奉蒙哥可汗之命，遠征大理遇到八
思巴喇嘛後，始正式歸依佛法，令天下崇奉佛教. 問題是
：從一三六八年，至一五七八年，大約二百一十年間，佛教
幾乎絕跡，本文對此提出了極為正確的答案. 本文敘至一九
四九年變色後的蒙古佛教，內容中肯，實為不可多得的蒙
古佛教簡史.
Buddhism came to Mongolia from China proper and
Tibet. After Kublai Khan met Bashpa Lama during a
military expedition，he formally took refuge in the
Buddha Dharma and decreed that the whole nation
follow the Teaching of the Buddha. There is one
question，however：How is it that in the 210 years
from 1368 to 1578 the Buddhist religion almost
completely vanished from Mongolia? This paper tries
to give a reasonable answer to the question，and it
also relates the development of Mongolian Buddhism
up to 1949 when the Communists took over mainland
China. |
