| Abstract | 大乘理趣六波羅蜜多經是大乘佛法的綱要，也是整個佛
法的綱要，等於是經典中的佛教概論，所有大小乘主教義
都包含在內. 經中討論的主題是菩薩道的內涵 -- 布施，持
戒，忍辱，精進，禪定，般若 -- 而以般若為統合一切的中
心. 本文就本經的性質與內容要點加以簡單介紹，然後將般
若波羅蜜多與禪法做嘗試性的連繫解說.
大乘理趣六波羅蜜多經是大正藏的第二六一部經，也就是以詮釋般若空慧為主旨的般若部的最後一部經顧名思義，它是大乘佛法的「理之所趣」，是說明大乘佛法主要內容的經。我們可以把它當做經典裏的佛教概論來看。本文就本經的性質與內容要點加以簡單介紹，然後以其中心思想所在—般若波羅蜜—來與禪法做一個嘗試性的聯繫解說。
The Essence of `Mahayana`：The Six `Paramitas
Sutra (Mahayana-naya-sat-paramita-sutra`) presents a
general picture of Buddhism as a whole although its
name indicates it to be an introductory work of
`Mahayana`. It is general Buddhism in the scripture
form，its contents encompassing all the major tenets
of `Mahayana` and `Hinayana`. The main topics under
discussion are the practices of charity，moral
discipline，patience，vigor，meditation and `prajna`
，with `prajna` as the central，unifying element.
Into this framework are woven all the other
important doctrines of the religion.
This paper briefly examines the characteristics
and main points of the `sutra` and then in
conclusion offers a tentative explanation of its
underlying principle--the `Prajna Paramita` --in
connection with Ch'an. |
