Abstract本文由朱熹排佛之心態,探討其幾經曲折,創立新說之過程.

朱熹早年曾涉大慧宗杲之「看話禪」; 然參究多年,始終不契. 在三十歲左右確定歸儒後,即在李侗的接引下,針對宗杲的禪法,提出其儒學體系:以日用間的「躬行力究」,「格物致知」取代「味無義之語」的參話頭.

但在宗杲禪法的影響下,朱熹對道南派於靜中觀察喜怒哀樂未發氣象之旨要,始終無能契入. 李侗死後,朱熹體會出其「格物致知」的原始架構,有被大化牽去之慮; 於是轉而與和他「動」的體系貌合的湖湘派論學切磋. 朱熹幾經曲折,終覺湖湘派的功夫仍不脫禪味,故而提出「敬」之實踐功夫,來貫通內外,動靜,未發已發,做為日用間「格物致知」,「察識端倪」時的心性立根處. 至此,朱熹的「純儒」體系,終獲「自安」,「自得」之道.
