AbstractThe discussion of problems in the translation of "nyaya/pramana vada" terms into their possible english target expressions remains relevant for philosophers because to translate such terms is to presuppose some implicit interpretations of formalistic logic. this takes us beyond the confines of traditional indology to philosophical questions about comparative formal logics.
