Abstract鳩摩羅什所譯之《妙法蓮華經》(秦譯《法華經》),是天台宗最宗重的經典。因此,天台宗之集大成者——隋.智顗,對該經的註譯,成理解天台宗哲學,最為重要的線索。本文以智顗對該經的兩部註釋書——《妙法蓮華經玄義》和《妙法蓮華經文句》為中心,試圖透過智顗對該經之「科判」,來分析智顗對該經的主觀點。作者發現,在智顗對該經的科判中,用到了幾對概念:「本」與「跡」(開跡顯本),「麤」 (粗)與「妙」(開麤顯妙),「權」與「實」(開權顯實)。而這幾對概念,都和天台宗的中心思想,諸如《法華經.方便品》的「唯有一 (佛)乘,無二亦無三」,乃至《法華經.壽量品》的「我(釋迦)實成佛已來,無量無邊百千萬億那由他劫」,有著密切的關聯。
