| Abstract | 張商英〈護法論〉主的論敵是歐陽修，而他的主論證立場則是由歷史思惟出發。張商英和臨濟系禪師關係密切，他對歐陽修的批評，是基於為佛教辯護，這點就如其著作的篇題所說的是為「護法」而作。然而，〈護法論〉除有一般意義的「護法」外，因他充分地運用了歷史思惟的反思功能，因此〈護法論〉中，也對佛教內部作了些反思。「護法」不但有為佛法辯護的意義外，更重要的是透過歷史反思，對佛教提出建設性的意見，這也應是「護法」時須重視的，由歷史反思所作的「護法」，其意義可能更為深刻。歷史反思在宋代佛教界，是相當普遍的現象，尤其臨濟系禪師在這方面有相當突出的表現，張商英的歷史反思，與當時的佛教界的學風，實有相應合處。 |
