| Abstract | 本文主探討五世紀上半葉河西地區的「北涼佛教」在中國早期「淨土學」形成上所扮演的角色. 北涼佛教在《涅槃經》譯出後發展出「涅槃學」，並由其中推導出「淨土」的基本原理. 稍後「北涼佛塔」的造作將北涼的涅槃學與彌勒思想結合，終於導至北涼流亡政權時代「彌勒淨土」思想的形成與相關禪窟的開鑿.
