| Abstract | 本文乃從儒家與佛教的民間故事入手，配合儒家的《孝經》與佛教的《佛說父母恩重難報經》，討論儒佛對「孝」的觀念。我們可以發現，儒家乃基於倫理與維持社會秩序談孝，是以不同的社會階級，其所盡孝的方式不同，因應各階級之責任，盡孝的目標也有異，雖說廿四孝故事中不乏孝子感動天地神人得善報的故事，然這些孝子善報的故事，正是儒佛對話與會通的基礎。佛教的故事雖多以因果報應論孝，然其中所談皆以人倫之基討論孝的必要性，以及讓父母離苦得樂方為大孝的理念得知，佛教已融入了儒家的思想，使得「孝」成為儒佛共同的信念。
This paper explores how filial piety serves as the basis on which Confucianism
and Buddhism syncretize in popular society. In Confucianism filial piety is practiced to maintain human ethics and social order, and hence various means and goals ensue from social rank. In Buddhism it appeals to not only karma, but human ethics which traces back to Confucianism. Filial piety bridges Confucianism and Buddhism. |
