| Abstract | 思想的な論書に説かれる瞑想方法が、実際どれほど修行者に実践されていたのかを知ることは容易ではない。しかし『声聞地』において論理化された瞑想体系を探ることは、思想と瞑想の連関性を探究する上で重要であろう。さて、『声聞地』の縁起思想については、これまで主に「二世一重因果説」の源流を求める観点から研究されてきた。本稿では、この観点をひとまず脇に置き、『声聞地』に説かれる縁起の瞑想方法の特徴を以下の三点にまとめた。さらに、その特徴はいかなる経典の影響を受け、『瑜伽師地論』のなかでいかに思想的展開を遂げたのかを論じた。要点は次の通りである。
第一は、種子の瞑想を基軸に十二支を二種の因として瞑想すること。これは、阿頼耶識説の源流と見なされる『種子経』に影響を受けたものであり、また『有尋有伺等三地』の二種因説に影響を与えた。第二は、「渇愛」の瞑想を説くこと。未来の自体atmabhavaに愛着することによって未来のatmabhavaを生み出すと瞑想する。『有尋有伺等三地』では『有経』などの経典に影響を受けつつ『声聞地』のatmabhava説を論理化した。第三は、「名称」の瞑想、すなわち十二縁起の各々も名称として表現されると瞑想することである。この説は『勝義空性経』に基づき、後に『菩薩地』『有尋有伺等三地』の十因説に組み込まれた。 |
