Abstract施身是圓滿布施波羅蜜的終極實踐。施身的主題從部派佛教時期的本生經與譬喻文學開始不斷地被讚揚推崇。這精神延續到了後期大乘以及密續的修法當中。本文的研究發現,施身供養的觀想雖然是「決斷法」鮮明的一大特色,然而透過文本的互文分析,也再現了一個「決斷法」所建構的傳承系譜之外的修行慣例。西藏傳統認為施身供養的觀修法是源自於瑪紀拉准,然而我們卻在修心文類中的〈八座修心〉法發現了施身觀想的運用。這互文現象一方面指的是〈八座修心〉的八個修法之間結構內容的重覆,另一方面指的是「帶血帶肉的修行」觀想與「決斷法」的肉身供養觀想之參照。筆者嘗試從不同的視角來解讀西藏宗教書寫傳統。希望此系列的研究能夠發掘各範例來詮釋西藏佛教後弘期所展開的文本書寫傳統。

Renunciation of the body is the ultimate training on dāna-pāramitā. The theme of giving away the body had been celebrated since the main stream Buddhism in Jātaka and Avadāna literature. The spirit has been sustained into the practice of later Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions. Through inter-textual analysis, this study reveals that the visualization of bodily offering is yet the character of Tibetan gcod yul teachings; but also in blo sbyong literature, such as Eight Sessions of Mind Training. The intertextual phenomenon not only refers to actual repeated contents within Eight Sessions of Mind Training, but also among texts of gcod yul and blo sbyong. This study is an attempt to understand religious writing of early medieval Tibet from different angle. I hope the series of studies can shed some light on the local writing tradition cultivated during the second-spread of Tibetan Buddhism.
