| Abstract | 思想會隨著時代產生流變，敏銳的思想家往往透過「省思與批判」，對傳統 思想與當代思潮進行論辯，從而沉澱、昇華、標舉自己的觀點，以匡陋正俗，解 決問題。在佛教思想界，二十世紀臺灣的佛學泰斗印順（1906–2005）與當前日 本佛教學者松本史朗（1950–）與袴谷憲昭（1943–），都可算是這類人物。 印順與松本史朗、袴谷憲昭的「批判佛教」，雖然並無具體關連之跡，但同 樣針對佛教中的「如來藏」及「禪宗」等「本覺」思想提出強力的反思與檢討。 顯然，「批判佛教」是他們長期整理、剖析佛教史的研究生涯中共同的經驗之一。 他們批判思想產生之背景各自為何？彼此評騭佛教之立場與觀點如何？差異何 在？這些課題透過比較研判應可得知。這樣的比較，對於印順與松本史朗、袴谷 憲昭的「批判佛教」自會有一新的觀察。 因此，本研究計畫的重點，擬系統梳理「印順『批判佛教』的考察——兼與 松本史朗、袴谷憲昭的比較」。其研究架構如下：（一）緒論，包括問題敘述、文獻探討、研究目的與方法；（二）爬梳「印順與松本史朗、袴谷憲昭『批判佛教』 的緣起」，說明此三人的批判動機、背景與形成；（三）分析與比較「印順與松本 史朗、袴谷憲昭對『緣起』、『空』與『如來藏』關係的論證」；（四）條理與比較 「印順與松本史朗、袴谷憲昭對『如來藏』的批判」；（五）探討與比較「印順與 松本史朗、袴谷憲昭對『禪宗』的批判」；（六）整理與比較「印順與松本史朗、袴谷憲昭『批判佛教』的迴響」；（七）歸納「印順與松本史朗、袴谷憲昭『批判 佛教』在現代佛教史之意義」，呈顯三人的研究成果、貢獻與侷限，並據以提出 未來「批判佛教」之方向。 要言之，本研究計畫旨在針對上述這些課題進行全面而深入的梳理、闡述、 比較與討論，以彰顯印順「批判佛教」的重要觀點，並客觀比較其觀點與松本史朗、袴谷憲昭相關研究成果之異同，並策勵未來。
Thinking can be changed with times. Smart and sensitive thinkers always have debates over the traditional thinking and the contemporary ideological trend through “re-examination and criticism,”and then deposit, distillate and highlight their points of view so as to correct the bad customs and solve the problems. In the circle of Buddhist thinking, Yin Shun (1906–2005), a master of Buddhism in Taiwan in the 20th century, and the contemporary Japanese scholars like Matsumoto Shiro (1950 - ) and Hakamaya Noriaki (1943 - ) can be regarded as the thinkers of this kind.
Although there is no concrete correlation among the “Criticisms on Buddhism” by Yin Shun, Matsumoto Shiro and Hakamaya Noriaki, all their criticisms suggest powerful anti-thinking and reviews over the “self-awareness thinking”of the “Rulai Tibetan thinking”and the “Chan sect.” Obviously, “Criticisms on Buddhism”are their common experience in their research life of collating and analyzing the history of Buddhism which has lasted for a long period of time. What are the backgrounds for the creation of their criticisms? What are their standpoints and viewpoints in criticizing Buddhism? What are the differences among them? The answers of these issues should be available through comparative studies and judgments. Such a comparison shall present a new observation of the “Criticisms on Buddhism”by Yin Shun and the Japanese scholars.
Therefore, this study plan intends to systematically make “A Study ofYinShun’s ‘Criticisms on Buddhism’—— Also Comparing with Matsumoto Shiro and Hakamaya Noriaki” The structure of the study is as follows: (1) Introduction, including the description of problems, literary review, and the research purposes and methods; (2) “Origin of the ‘Criticisms on Buddhism’by Yin Shun and Matsumoto Shiro ,Hakamaya Noriaki,”elaborating the intentions of the criticisms by three scholars; (3) Analysis and comparison of the research on“Yuan Chii”,“Kong”,“Rulai Tibetan”of Yin Shun and Matsumoto Shiro , Hakamaya Noriaki; (4) Explainnation and comparison of “Criticisms on Rulai Tibetan”of Yin Shun and Matsumoto Shiro ,Hakamaya Noriaki； (5) Research and comparison of “Criticisms on Chan sect ”of Yin Shun and Matsumoto Shiro ,Hakamaya Noriaki； (6) Collation and comparison of the “Feedbacks to the ‘Criticisms on Buddhism’by Yin Shun and the Japanese scholars,”clarifying the feedbacks and re-criticisms aroused to the ‘Criticisms on Buddhism’by Yin Shun and the Japanese scholars”;(7) Summary of the“meanings of ‘Criticisms on Buddhism’by Yin Shun and the Japanese scholars in the history of Buddhism of the modern times,”revealing the implications of the times and the historical functions created by them, concluding the research results, characteristics and contributions of Yin Shun, Matsumoto Shiro and Hakamaya Noriaki, based on which some future directions of “Criticisms on Buddhism”are proposed. It is hoped that this study plan makes in-depth and comprehensive collation, elucidation, comparison and discussion of these issues, so as to reveal the important viewpoints of Yin Shun’s “Criticisms on Buddhism,”objectively compare his viewpoints with the related research results of Matsumoto Shiro and |
