| Abstract | 「물불천론」·「부진공론」·「반야무지론」 등의 내용을 요약한 「종본의(宗本義)」 는 짧지만 의미가 함축된 글이다. 적지 않은 학자들이 「종본의」를 연구했다. 어떤 학자는 승조가 지은 글이라고 주장했고, 일부 학자는 승조의 저작이 아니라고 설명했다. 본고는 언어학적 분석, 사상적인 비교, 문헌학적인 검토 등을 통해 「종본 의」는 승조의 사상을 이해한 사람이 지은 글이라고 판단했다. 「물불천론」·「부진 공론」·「반야무지론」의 문체가 유창하고 화려하다면, 「종본의」의 문투는 그렇지 못하다. 「종본의」에 축약된 내용과 「물불천론」·「부진공론」·「반야무지론」·「열반 무명론」 등이 강조하는 주안점이 서로 다르다; 『법론목록』 · 『고승전』 · 『중경목록』· 『역대삼보기』 · 『대당내전록 등에 「종본의」가 기재되지 않았다는 점 등을 이유로 들었다. 한편, 『고승전 이 늦어도 554년 이전에 찬술됐고 혜달(慧達)이 진나라 수나라 교체기인 581-589에 「조론서」를 지었다는 점을 고려하면, 「종본의」는 554년에서 589년 사이의 어느 때, 즉 『고승전』 편찬 이후부터 「조론서」가 찬술 되기 전의 어느 시기에 지어진 것으로 필자는 파악했다.
JongBenYi(宗本義), which summarizes the contents of WuBuQian Lun(物不遷論), BuZhenKongLun(不眞空論), BoReWuZhiLun(般若無知論), and NiePanWuMingLun(涅槃無名論), is a short but meaningful article.
Not a few scholars have studied JongBenYi. Some scholars argued that this work was written by the SengZhao, but other scholars argue that it is not the work of SengZhao. This paper judged that JongBenYi was written by a person who understood the thought of SengZhao through linguistic analysis, ideological comparison, and literature review. For, while the style of the WuBuQianLun, the BuZhenKong Lun, and the BoReWuZhiLun is fluent and gorgeous, the sentence of JongBenYi is not so; the main points in the contents of the JongBenYi are different from the emphasis on the WuBuQianLun, BuZhenKong Lun, BoReWuZhiLun, and NiePanWuMingLun; JongBenYi was not listed in FaLunMuLu(法論⽬錄), GaoSengZhuan(高僧傳), ZhongJingMu Lu(衆經⽬錄), LiDaiSamBaoJi(歷代三寶紀), and DaTangNeiDianLu(大唐內典錄). |
