| Abstract | 동아시아 불교 신행에 있어서 『大方廣佛華嚴經入不思議解脫境界普賢行願 品』의 십종행원은 중요한 수행방편과 사상으로 알려져 있다. 십종행원은 독립된 별행경 『보현행원품』으로 유통되었고 주석서로는 유일하게 징관의 『大方廣佛華嚴經普賢行願品別行疏』가 있다. 그러나 지금까지『별행소』에 대한 연구는 미진하였다고 생각된다. 특히 『별행소』의 제본현황이나 제본간의 비교분석은 아직까지 이루어진 바가 없었다. 본 논문은 문헌학적인 접근으로 현존하고 있는 『별행소』의 제본현황을 파악하고 관련 문헌들과의 교감을 통해 계통도를 밝혀보았다.
현존하는 제본 가운데 확인한 『별행소』는 일본의 담예 필사본, 한국의 고려시대 목판본, 조선시대 목판본 그리고 명득이 교정한 중국의 가흥대장경에입장되어 있는 본 등이다. 또한 종밀의 『大方廣佛華嚴經普賢行願品別行疏鈔』 (6권)와 징관의 『華嚴經行願品疏』(10권)의 제본도 참조하여 교감하였다.
그리고 그 교감 결과를 구성적인 면과 내용적인 면으로 나누어 분석함으로써 『별행소』의 가설적인 계통을 파악할 수 있었다. 즉, 담예의 필사본과 고려시대 목판본이 같은 계열로 보이며 가흥대장경본과 조선시대본이 동일한 본임을 알 수 있었다. 시기적으로는 담예의 필사본과 고려목판본이 가흥대장경본보다 오래된 것으로 보인다. 또한 한국에서 고본이 유통되다가 조선시대에 이르러 가흥대장경본 계열로 바뀌어 유통되어져 오는 것은 특이한 점이라고 할 수 있다.
In East Asian Buddhist faith and practice, the ten practices and vows presented in Dafangguangfohuayanjing Rubusiyijietuojingjie Puxianxingyuanpin (大方廣佛華嚴經入不思議解脫境界普賢行願品) (hereafter DRP) are one of the most important doctrines. This text has also been circulated separately from DRP as an independent sūtra (hereafter PX), and there is only one commentary on PX by Chengguan (澄觀) (別行疏, hereafter PXC). In spite of its value, research on PXC has been inadequate up till now. This paper aims at figuring out the present status of PXC manuscripts and xylographs and trying to make a stemma of PXC by comparing its various manuscripts/xylographs.
Among the extant manuscripts/xylographs of PXC, I examined the following:
① a manuscript written by Tanei (湛睿, 1271~1346), Japan
② a xylograph printed in the Koryo dynasty, Korea
③ a xylograph printed in the Chosun dynasty, Korea
④ a xylograph included in Jiaxing dazangjing from Ming China
Regarding PXC, there is a commentary on PXC written by Zongmi (宗密) and a commentary on DRP written by Chengguan, the latter of which has many parts similar to PXC. I also used both to compare all the above manuscripts/xylographs (①-④) of PXC.
By analyzing the structure and the content of all editions of PXC, I made a preliminary stemma of PXC. According to this stemma, it seems that among the manuscripts/xylographs, ① and ② are included in a same lineage while ③ and ④ are similar. It is remarkable that there was a change in the manuscripts/xylographs of PXC between the Koryo and Chosun dynasties and that afterward, the Chosun dynasty version began to be circulated as the main text up to the present day. |
