Twenty five centuries ago, Pali was widely used in North India. It was also the dialect used by Buddha. Pali is the classic language to Buddhism as Sanskrit is to Hinduism and Latin is to Catholicism. It is the standardized sacred language to teach Buddha’s thinking.

Pali can be found in Tipitaka and its annotation books such as Atthakata, Tika, Anu-tika, and Madhu-tika,etc.
