抄録 | This article focuses on the dipolarity in Chan Buddhism and the Whiteheadian god. The continuing dialogue between Alfred North Whitehead and Japanese Zen Buddhism has increased the understanding of both. Unfortunately, because of a lack of exploration into the origins of Zen in Chan Buddhism, there have been some fundamental oversights. Chan Buddhism has helped to transform the religious discipline of dhyana into something more congenial to the Chinese philosophical mind and soul. This fundamental change essentially involves the Chinese cultural fondness for the harmony between the dipolar sides of reality. |
