| 抄録 | 本文介紹一份歷史性的佛經卷子，經文為五代時吳越國
王錢俶敕刻印刷，本世紀初出土於杭州雷峰塔; 卷子的跋文
，為中央研究院故院長胡適手書. 世界二次大戰後，印度
政府派遣其著名學者師覺月到北京大學任講座教授，胡氏斯
時適任北大校長. 師氏任滿返國前，胡氏以此卷相贈，為
師氏家藏文物. 此後世局多變，人事滄桑，此歷史文物及
其所代表之友誼，亦鮮為世人所知，今將原卷影印出版，並
將二氏對印度佛教文化研究的豐績，加以評述，希望對研究
佛學，中印關係及胡氏研究者，提供一份珍貴史料.
The paper presents an important historical
document，a scroll of a 10th century woodblock
printed Buddhist scripture with a handwritten
colophen by Dr. Hu. It was a gift from Dr. Hu to his
Indian friend on behalf of the University Peking
during the forties of this century. Dr. Hu was then
the president of the University whileas Bagchi was
the chair professor of Indian studies deputed by the
Government of India. Because of political changes in
China during the subsequent decades, the event and
the document became obscure to most of scholars.
This paper is the first publication on the subject,
which should be useful to historians who study
cultural relations between China and India as well
as on Hu Shih. The contributions made by Hu and
Bagchi on Buddhist Studies are also reviewed. |
