| 抄録 | 上天竺講寺因得奇木觀音，遂被世人視為觀音顯靈聖地。從五代至明代，上天竺都是屬於觀音信仰者崇拜的香火道場。明代上天竺觀音更被認為具有祈雨轉晴的神力，而且具有非男、非女的神性，能應身普門救渡眾生。亦因觀音有此神力，而此神力又幫助官員統治民眾，也救渡民眾度過許多人生危機時刻，所以寺方因此擁有許多信徒，上天竺講寺的香火依舊興盛不替。故本文即就：（一）觀音信仰與上天竺講寺的興起和沿革；（二）明代上天竺講寺的狀況；（三）明代上天竺講寺的主持僧侶（四）明代上天竺講寺觀音信仰的內涵；（五）明代上天竺講寺觀音信仰的相關活動等部分，來討論明代上天竺講寺的觀音信仰。
The fame of the Upper T'ien-chu Monastery（上天竺講寺） was correlated with a miraculous image of Kuan-yin（觀音） that was "spontaneously formed". From the Five dynasties to the Ming dynasty, the Upper T'ien-chu was the monastery of the Avalokitesvara（觀自在）. The Kuan-yin of the Upper T'ien-chu Monastery became known for her efficacy in averting natural disasters, saving people in every trouble and having not male or not female's force during the Ming dynasty. Because of Kuan-yin's force, the Avalokitesvara could help government to control the people. Therefore, the same classes of people were responsible for the Upper T'ien-chu Monastery becoming a center for Kuan-yin worship. A lot of persons contributed their properties and lands to the Upper T'ien-chu Monastery. So, this article is to research on the Avalokitesvara of the Upper T'ien-chu Monastery during the Ming dynasty based on below questions：（1）the rise of the Upper T'ien-chu Monastery from the Five dynasties to the Ming dynasty,（2）the development of the Upper T'ien-chu Monastery during the Ming dynasty,（3）the main monks（leaders） of the Upper T'ien-chu Monastery during the Ming dynasty,（4）the meaning of the Upper T'ien-chu's Kuan-yin during the Ming dynasty,（5）Kuan-yin and the activities of the Upper T'ien-chu Monastery during the Ming dynasty. |
