| 抄録 | 佛教於兩漢年間輸入中土及其流傳情況，一向所知不多。本文介紹新近的研究成果，並重新檢視舊有的文獻資料，配合近年出土的文物，作出討論，期望對初傳時期佛教徒的活動有更多和更新的了解。本文指出，帶有佛教色彩的器物有可能在西漢時代，已沿著絲綢之路傳入，但要到東漢初年，中土才正式有佛教信徒，特別是楚王英事佛，為南方的佛教發展奠下基礎。可是，因楚王謀反，為明帝鎮壓，佛教亦受牽連，未能在上層社會繼續流布。佛教因而轉入民間，低調發展，更成為墓葬物的一種；直至漢末，佛教才再見諸文獻記載。
In the light of the fact that little has been known about the spread of Buddhism in Western and Eastern Han dynasties, this essay re-examines existing documentary resources, in consideration of discussion on archaeological objects recently excavated, with the hope of getting a broader and more up-to-date understanding of Buddhists’ activities in the early stage of the spread of Buddhism. To be highlighted is Emperor Chu of Yin’s worship of Buddhist which laid the foundation for development of Buddhism in the south. Nevertheless, on the other hand, his later plot to rebel made the spread of Buddhism come to a halt in mid-Eastern Han dynasty. Only in late Han could the spread revive. |
