| 抄録 | 본고는 『금강삼매경』(이하 『삼매경』)의 저자와 관련하여 중국 삼계교승이면서 신라승인 신방법사와의 연관성을 살펴보았다. 신방의 저작 『대승대집지장십륜경』 서(序)와 작자미상의 『삼매경』 및 원효의 『금강삼매경론』(이하 『삼매경론』)등의 용어와 당시 사상의 고찰에 연구의 초점을 두었다.
이 연구는 『삼매경』을 지장계 경전류로 보는 관점에서 출발하며 지장교라고도 불리는 삼계교의 배경이 밑바탕을 이루고 있다. 이러한 큰 사상의 흐름, 즉 삼계교내지 지장사상과 그 신앙은 신라의 누구에 의하여 어떠한 방법과 형태로 유입되었는가라는 의문은 신방의 위치를 추적해 봄으로써 그 답의 실마리를 얻을 수 있을 것이라고 본다.
따라서 기존에 연구한 『대방광십륜경』, 『대승대집지장십륜경』(이하 『십륜경』)과 『삼매경론』의 경론을 비롯해 총 14종 37개 용어들의 분석을 바탕으로, 새롭게 신방의 ‘『십륜경』 서(序)’의 내용을 추가하고 이들을 비교 분석하여, 신방의 고뇌와 그 추구하는 바가 무엇이었는가를 탐색하였다.
먼저 『삼매경』의 대의를 살핀 후, 이 경을 지장계 경전류로 보려는 측면에서의 『삼매경』의 연구사의 문제점 및 신방과 원효를 둘러싼 중국불교에서 새롭게 시연되는 첨단사상인 지장사상의 유입에 관한 일련의 움직임을 용어분석을 통해 살펴보았다. 또한 『십륜경』 서(序)와 『삼매경(론)』에 나타난 용궁의 개념과 비교하여 『삼매경』이 전해진 연유와 결론을 추정하여 이 경의 저자를 추적해 보고자 하였다.
This writing considers the author of the Geumgang Sammaegyeong (hereinafter abbreviated as Sammaegyeong) with relevance to Shinbang, who was both a member of the Chinese Samgyegyo (三階敎, the Three Stages school) and a Buddhist monk of Silla. This thesis will focus on analysing the terminology in the preface of Daeseung daeji pjijang sipryun gyeong by Sinbang, the Sammaegyeong, which is of unknown authorship, and the Sammaegyeong by Wonhyo as well as other ideas of that time.
This study starts by viewing the Sammaegyeong from the perspective of the Jijanggyo tradition (地藏敎, the Kṣitigarbha school), which is based on the Samgyegyo, also referred to as the Jijanggyo. Through an investigation of Sinbang it is believed that the questions of how and in what way the Samgyego and Jijanggyo were introduced to Silla can be answered.
Accordingly, based on the analysis of 37 terms in 14 categories, included in such sūtras as the previously studied Daeseung daejip jijang sipryun gyeong (or Daebang kwangsipryun gyeong, hereinafter abbreviated as Sipryungyeong) and Sammaegyeong, Shinbang’s preface to the Sipryungyeong was added and comparatively analyzed.
After looking at the significance of the Sammaegyeong, as well as the problems which occur as a result of viewing it from the perspective of the Jijanggyo tradition, a series of movements were examined regarding the inflow of new ideas. These movements revolved around Shinbang and Wonhyo.
In addition, an attempt is made to figure out who the author of the sūtra is by considering the cause and conclusion of the preface to the Sammaegyeong. This is done through a comparison of the concepts of the Dragon palace (龍宮) between in the preface of Sipryungyeong and in Sammaegyeong(ron).
