伴隨著臺灣社會轉型和經濟的快速增長,社會結構出現日益分化趨向,由此導致佛教自身的不斷分化,這種分化表現為寺院、教義和經濟利益的分化。財富問題已經越來越成為影響臺灣佛教發展的一個重大因素,不僅佛教在規模上的迅速膨脹與臺灣社會的富裕程度有著直接的關聯,而且由於佛教擁有巨額的財富而使教內外對於經濟利益與傳統教義的矛盾提出了種種問題,這些事實上已經成為現代臺灣佛教應答現實社會提出的諸多挑戰中最重要的問題之一,也是臺灣佛教逐步實現適應現代社會所無法回避的根本問題。 Following the social transformation and the rapid growth of economy in Taiwan,the social structure appeared the orientation of division increasingly,therefrom leading to the constant division of Buddhism itself,this kind of divisions manifested themeselves as those of temples,doctrines and economic interests.The problem of wealth became an important factor influencing the development of Buddhism in Taiwan. Buddhism not only has direct relation with the degree of richness of Taiwan society in the aspect of rapid growth of the size,but also poses various questions to the contradiction between economic interest and traditional doctrine within and without the Buddhist circle because of possessing large amount of wealth,these facts have become one of the most important problems among the responses of modern Buddhism in Taiwan to the various challenges posed by real society,and they are also the fundamental inevitable problems in the process of gradually realizing adaptation to the modern society by Taiwan Buddhism.
