| 摘要 | The purpose of the paper is to analyze the central tenets of won buddhism from its metaphysical and moral perspectives. the paper shows how some fundamental tenets of buddhism and confucianism，which are opposed to each other，are synthesized through renovation into the new ethico-religious system. it is shown how certain confucian moral duties have buddhistic foundation by deriving those moral duties from the buddhist object of religious worship--"dharmakaya". in won buddhism，buddhist teleology and confucian deontology are shown not as contrary as they appear to be. |
