The Han culture of Xuzhou region is well-known for its Han tomb, Han figure and Han Paintings. Xuzhou located on a key position bordering the North and South, multiple cultures such as Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism, etc met here, this religious convergence made Xuzhou region a spreading base for Taoism and Buddhism. Han emperor Gao zu’s governance by Taoism, Liu Xiang’s compilation of lie xian zhuan, Zhang ling’s creation of Wu Don Mi Dao, Chu state king Liu Ying’s sacrifice to Buddha, Za Rong’s expounding Buddhism in Xiapi, all these things gave impetus to the emerge of Taoism and the spreading of Buddhism in the East.
