In terms of the form of value, poetry can be divided into Circumstances poetry, philosophical poetry and Metaphysical poetry. Circumstances poetry describes the specific feeling of situation. Philosophical poetry expresses the philosophy beyond of the environment. Metaphysical poetry expresses the realm of the metaphysical philosophy. Circumstances poetry and philosophical poetry express the secular values, but Metaphysical poetry expresses the ultra-world value. Proposing these three types of poetry may provide new concepts and categories discussed in poetry especially in New Poetry. By analyzing these three types of poetry we can be aware of Metaphysical poetry has the highest value in these three types of poetry, which will guide the creation and study of poetry pursuit of the highest value and strengthen the philosophy quality of Chinese traditional poetry.
