Abstract 《楞嚴經勢至念佛圓通章》在清代初期的行策法師(1628-1682)便極為關注,並且將之做為弘傳彌陀淨土法門的重要經典。後來被譽為清代華嚴宗的中興教主續法法師(1641-1728)則系統性地撰寫《楞嚴經勢至念佛圓通章疏鈔》,此是歷來注疏《楞嚴經勢至念佛圓通章》最為詳盡的著作,其重要性在於以華嚴思想詮釋彌陀念佛法門,尤其以華嚴思想貫攝持名念佛要義,並以華嚴五教判來判攝念佛法門通於「終、頓、圓」三教。續法標舉「稱名念佛」,運用澄觀所開立的五種念佛門,再次開出以「稱名念佛」為核心的五門:一、持念佛名門,二、攝名歸心門,三、心名雙融門,四、心名俱絕門,五、圓通無盡門,表明「念佛一法,攝盡一切法矣。」他以華嚴的圓教思想,主張念佛法門攝盡佛教一切法門,這對於明清代華嚴念佛思想的復興,以及當時淨土法門的衰落,補以一劑強心藥,既可藉華嚴思想深化淨土法門,亦可藉淨土法門弘傳華嚴思想,二者相得益彰。
