Abstract善導大師宣揚淨土法門,主要是為引導世間凡夫,仰憑彌陀本願力,信願念佛,求生淨土。善導認為凡夫眾生欲依自力解脫,甚為困難,他的偉大觀念是:只要仰仗彌陀本願力,往生極樂淨土,凡夫眾生就有解脫的可能,於此,他提出信願念佛的淨土法門。 善導信願念佛的方法有二:觀想念佛與稱名念佛,這二種方法最重要的核心思想即是「三心」。所謂三心,就是指「至誠心」、「深心」、「回向發願心」。善導強調:「一切善惡凡夫,具此三心者,皆可往生彌陀淨土。」

My paper studies on the faith in and vow to the Amitabha Buddha of Master Shan-tao , who developed “The Practice of Pure Land”, which is the way to reach salvation as human beings believing in Amitabha Buddha . He thought that the human beings are not east to release from samsara predicament(a circle of death and reborn)by their own resources .Thus, his great vision is that one can only be saved through being reborn in the Pure Land of Buddha Amita . This method is “Nien-Fo: to have the faith in and vow to Amitabha Buddha” .
The core theory of Shan-tao’s faith in and vow to Amitabha Buddha contains two methods ─Meditation and Recitation of the name of Amitabha Buddha(A-Mi-To Fo), which is endowed with “Threefold Mind”(San-chung hsin) ─“most sincere mind”(chih-ch’eng hsin), “profound mind”(shen-hsin), and “mind which produces the vow to be reborn in the Amitabha Buddha’s Pure Land”(hui-hsiang fa-yuan hsin). Shan-tao advocated that “whoever has this threefold mind will certainly be reborn in that Pure Land.”
