Abstract | 本論文主題,是關於孫立人將軍夫人孫張清揚居士,與戰後臺灣佛教重建大業的佛教史課題之開創性探討。其所涉及的問題意識,主要是二戰後,由於中國大陸全境歷經長達四年的國共內戰後,終於在一九四九年時出現大陸統治權更替的巨大變局,而當時國府不但失去大陸政權,隨即戰敗的殘餘黨政軍大舉撤退來台,其中還有來自大陸各省的數百位在大陸佛教界很有知名度與影響力的佛教僧侶,也跟著來到臺灣,而彼等倉皇逃難之際,又驟然身處異地,於是彼等頓時陷於各種生活與弘法事業的兩大艱難處境之中。 而當時已來臺孫立人將軍夫人孫清揚居士,在大陸時期就和這些來臺的佛教大老們有深厚的佛教因緣。加以當時孫將軍當時在臺灣軍中掌握大權,因此得予在此巨變的大時代下,為來臺初期的這些大陸佛教大老們,提供很多必要的協助。就此來說,孫夫人清揚居士,在這個環節上所作出的重要貢獻,也就是她對於當時臺灣佛教文化事業協助與促成的巨大成就,實不亞於孫立人將軍當時在臺灣軍事上的成就。 所以本文的正式探討核心,即為有「現代勝鬘」之稱的孫張清揚居士與戰後臺灣佛教重建事蹟的開創性探討。而經過本論文各章節的分別探討後,我們發現: 一、相較於從印度大乘佛教經典中發現在家佛教女居士典範經典人物「勝鬘夫人」,孫清揚居士對於戰後臺灣漢傳佛教重建與復興的一生奉獻,例如她能:傳承太虛大師依人乘而趣菩薩行者的人生佛教,又因曾受到智光法師的啟發、教育,所以她特能以女居士身份在臺灣建設人生(間)佛教,不僅提升了婦女的地位,並使臺灣佛教為國際上所注重。 二、再者,她來臺後,更曾以「世界佛學苑」的興學大願,私自捐鉅資以接收臺北名剎善導寺,以作為佛法弘化、僧務運作的重心,甚至中國佛教會在臺灣才有根據地。 三、此外,當時臺灣大多數的佛教徒,對大乘佛教法義並未能有正確的認識,但孫張清揚居士縱使遭遇孫案大難當下,孫家其實已舉家軟禁於臺中孫府時,孫清揚居士仍能毅然出面,率先捐鉅資並發起影印《大藏經》,以讓臺灣全島各地信眾都能因此,而更加認識佛教與了解佛教的教義,致使此後在臺灣地區研究佛學的人逐漸增加;其間她還設置多種獎學金吸引大專青少年來學習佛學,佛法能夠普遍化、深刻化傳播於各角落。 四、日後佛光山的佛教事業或慈濟功德會的事業,她也同樣大力幫忙,無私無我。 因此,本論文稱她為臺灣佛教徒中的「現代勝鬘」,可為實至名歸。
The topic of this thesis is a groundbreaking discussion on the Buddhist history of the layman Sun Zhang Qingyang, the wife of General Sun Liren, and the great cause of Taiwanese Buddhism reconstruction after the war. The problem consciousness involved is mainly after World War II. After four years of civil war between the Kuomintang and the Communist Party, the entire mainland of China finally experienced a huge change in mainland ruling power in 1949. At that time, the government not only lost power in the mainland, and then the remnants of the defeated party, government, and army retreated to Taiwan. Among them, hundreds of Buddhist monks from various provinces in the mainland who were well-known and influential in the mainland Buddhist circle also came to Taiwan. When they fled in a hurry, they were suddenly in a different place, so they were immediately caught in the two difficult situations of life and propaganda. At that time, Sun Qingyang, the wife of General Sun Liren, had come to Taiwan. During the mainland period, he had deep Buddhist ties with these Buddhist elders who came to Taiwan. In addition, at that time, General Sun held great power in the Taiwan army, so in this era of great changes, he was able to provide a lot of necessary assistance to these mainland Buddhist elders in the early days of coming to Taiwan. In this regard, Mrs. Sun’s important contribution in this link, that is, the great achievements she assisted and contributed to the Buddhist culture in Taiwan at that time, is no less than the achievements of General Sun Liren in Taiwan’s military at that time. Therefore, the core of the formal discussion of this article is the groundbreaking discussion of the layman Sun Zhang Qingyang, known as the ""modern victory"", and the deeds of the postwar reconstruction of Buddhism in Taiwan. After discussing the chapters of this paper separately, we found that: 1. Compared with the classic figure ""Mrs. Shenghua"" found in the Indian Mahayana Buddhist classics, Lay Sun Qingyang's life dedication to the reconstruction and revival of Han Buddhism in Taiwan after the war, for example, she can: inherit Taixu Master Yi The life of Buddhism of the Bodhisattva, who was inspired and educated by Master Zhiguang, was able to build life (inter) Buddhism in Taiwan as a female layman, which not only improved the status of women, but also made Taiwanese Buddhism International attention. Secondly, after she came to Taiwan, she even made a huge private donation to receive the famous temple Shandao Temple in Taipei with the great wish of ""World Buddhist Academy"", as the center of Buddhist teaching and monastic affairs.
