| Abstract | 本論文主題「高牆內外的慈濟情——以金門監獄關懷為例」，係為研究者志工生涯的生命敘事研究，主題為研究者退休後，投入監獄關懷的相關討論，探究慈濟入世人間菩薩道的具體實踐。
研究者身為長期慈濟委員，在證嚴法師叮囑身為「慈濟宗」開宗第一代弟子，必須以「佛心師志」自期，將師父悲願點滴入心；以慈濟情、慈濟的大愛化為穿透高牆的力量，利益高牆內外的苦難眾生，從有形無形的牢籠解放出來。本文即是探討慈濟志工對受刑人的關愛護念，如何藉由佛法的教化力量，以及慈濟志工走入監所特有的關懷模式，包括高牆內收容人的藝文教化活動與高牆外更生人的輔導陪伴，展現慈悲關懷的積極影響。
本文認為，慈濟志工孜孜不倦走入監獄，牆裡牆外發揮慈濟行之有年的關懷模式，主要有兩點：一是「從感化到轉化」，即慈濟重於情感轉化，於感動之際啟發、引導人心，進而轉化人心、淨化人心，大體顯示「以情相牽，以法相會」的特點。二是「從利他到慧命增長」，志工從事監獄關懷，除了利益人群外，也昇華自身，讓愛的漣漪產生乘數效果，從利他中展現菩薩行。
The theme of this thesis, "The Compassion of Tzu Chi Volunteers Inside and Outside the High Walls: A Case Study of Kinmen Prison," is a life narrative study of the researcher's volunteer career. It focuses on the researcher's discussions and reflections after retirement upon engaging in prison care, exploring the concrete practice of Tzu Chi's Bodhisattva path in the secular world.
As a long-term Tzu Chi commissioner, the researcher, guided by Dharma Master Cheng Yen's advice to the first-generation disciples of "Tzu Chi School" to embody the "Buddha's heart and master's aspirations," integrates the Master's compassionate vows into their heart. This transforms Tzu Chi's compassion and great love into a force that penetrates the high walls, benefiting the suffering sentient beings inside and outside, liberating them from both physical and invisible prisons. This thesis explores how Tzu Chi volunteers care for inmates through the transformative power of Dharma and the unique model of Tzu Chi volunteers' prison care. It includes cultural and educational activities for inmates and guidance and companionship for those reintegrating into society, demonstrating the positive impact of compassionate care.
The thesis posits that Tzu Chi volunteers tirelessly enter prisons, applying Tzu Chi's long-established care model inside and outside the walls in two main ways: first, "from inspiration to transformation," where Tzu Chi focuses on emotional transformation, inspiring and guiding hearts through touching moments, leading to purification of the mind, characterized by "connecting through emotions, meeting through the Dharma." Second, "from benefiting others to growing in wisdom-life," where volunteers engage in prison care, not only benefiting others but also elevating themselves, creating a multiplier effect of love's ripple, and manifesting the Bodhisattva path through altruism. |
