Abstract | 本論文旨在以佛教傳統和多元視角探討解脫道,尤其聚焦於早期佛教文獻對解脫道和道次第的研究。透過引用學者如Rupert Mark Lovell Gethin、Johannes Bronkhorst、Bhikkhu Anālayo、楊郁文、蔡耀明等的觀點,論述解脫道的目的、修行方法、以及不同解脫道次第。然而,現存文獻中對解脫道次第的整理和解釋存在一些差異,但尚未明確說明不同解脫道次第之間的差異和適用性。 特別探討《象跡喻小經》中有關解脫道次第的觀點,各學者對其詮釋有所不同,但普遍認同其作為解脫之道的重要指南。頭陀行和梵行在佛教中占有重要地位,本文討論了其在解脫途徑中的角色,特別是《清淨道論》對頭陀行的推崇。以頭陀行與梵行卻無法套用到解脫道道次第概念。 本文進一步採用後殖民主義與女性主義方法,關注佛教在不同地區融合當地文化形成獨特修行方式的現象,體現了Edward Wadie Said的文化混雜概念。不同佛教學派一直相互借用,就像它們也移置、轉移、借取各自所處的文化。此外,強調多元個別差異的女性主義觀點,為避免重覆複製父權結構、殖民主義和東方主義,重新檢視解脫道次第。最後,本文解構《象跡喻小經》,以多元視角分析古印度象跡寓言及其性別議題。解脫道應被視為是一種地圖或多重的概念,表示有多種方式和因應個人根器達到涅槃解脫。 The purport of this paper is to scrutinize the conception with regards to the path to liberation in the early Buddhism as well as from the multiple perspective. By citing scholars such as Rupert Mark Lovell Gethin, Johannes Bronkhorst, Bhikkhu Anālayo, Yu-wen Yang, and Yao-Ming Tsai, the paper discusses the purpose of the path to liberation, its methods of practice, and the different sub-divisions of the path to liberation. However, there are some differences in the arrangements and interpretation of the sub-paths to liberation in the extant literature exist. However, the differences and applicability of the different sub-paths to liberation have not yet been clearly explained. In particular, this paper examines the views on the paths to liberation in the Cūḷahatthipadopama Sutta, which has been interpreted differently by various scholars, but is generally recognized as an important guide to the path to liberation. The role of dhutaṅga and Brahmacaryā in the path to liberation is discussed in this article, especially the esteem in which dhutaṅga is held by Visuddhimagga. However, the concepts of dhutaṅga and Brahmacaryā cannot be applied to the concept of the path to liberation. Adopting a postcolonial and feminist approach, this paper further focuses on the phenomenon of Buddhism's integration of local cultures to form unique practices in different regions, embodying Edward Wadie Said's notion of cultural hybridity. The various schools of Buddhism have always borrowed from each other, just as they have displaced, transferred, and borrowed from the cultures in which they live. In addition, feminist perspectives, which emphasize pluralism and individual differences, have revisited the path to liberation in order to avoid repetition of patriarchal structures, colonialism, and Orientalism. Finally, this paper deconstructs the Cūḷahatthipadopama Sutta to analyze the ancient Indian allegory of elephant footprint and its gender issues from multiple perspectives. It should be treated, the path to liberation, as the function of a map which can be utilized in various routes. Nibbana, through different methods, is able to achieved by means of multiple personalities. |
