Abstract | 敦煌行腳僧圖作為唐宋民間的神僧功德造像圖,其人物原型頗多爭議,部分原因在於沒有釐清「行腳」的概念。借由圖像和文獻的互相印證,本文首先梳理「行腳」的淵源,分析敦煌行腳僧圖系列的年代;其次依據圖像元素,將遊方僧人群像的神聖敘事分為神足、伏虎和寶勝如來化身三類,考察其來源和演變。敦煌行腳僧圖與文獻中的神僧敘事互相印證,共同反應了五代至北宋以後神僧信仰從胡僧到漢僧的佛教中國化趨勢。
Dunhuang Xing jiao seng art(敦煌行腳僧圖) is a merit art work of sacred pilgrim monk in the Tang and Song Dynasties. The archetype of the monk is quite controversial, partly because the concept of "Xing jiao(行腳)"is not clarified. Based on the mutual confirmation of images and documents, this article first sorts out the origin of "Xing jiao(行腳),"then introduce the history of Dunhuang Xing jiao seng art(敦煌行腳僧圖). Secondly, according to the image elements, the sacred narrative of the art is divided into three peculiarity: Shen zu(神足), surrender tiger and Baosheng Tathagata, and investigates the origin and evolution. Mutual verification of Dunhuang Xing jiao seng art(敦煌行腳僧圖) and the literature reflect the sinicization of Buddhism from the Five Dynasties to the Northern Song Dynasty by the appearance changes of Hu monks to Han monks. |
