| Abstract | 星雲法師創立的佛光山，經過了40年努力，秉持著「佛光普照三千界，法水長流五大洲」的理念，並以「以文化弘揚佛法；以教育培養人才；以慈善福利社會；以共修凈化人心」的宗旨，成功在全球設立超過200間的佛光道場，超過1000個的佛光分會，把佛法推向全球。馬來西亞佛光山作為佛光山的重要一個分支也秉持了佛光山的宗風理念；朝向同一個目標，經過20年的努力，在馬來西亞也成功地把佛法弘揚開來，設立了接近20間的佛光道場以及20個佛光分會。馬來西亞佛光山經過了三個階段——萌芽期、奠基期、穩定期，慢慢地在馬來西亞這片土地發展、紮根。
Master Hsing Yun, the founder of Foguangshan, took almost about 40 years to establish this organization. The Foguangshan devotees embrace the idea: “Buddha’s light shines upon the three thousand worlds and the Dharma stream flows across the five continents” and the objectives: “To Propagate Dharma Through Cultural Undertakings, To Nature Talents Through Education,To Benefit Society Through Charity, To Purify Human Minds Through Group Cultivation” of Foguangshan. Nowadays, Foguangshan has around 200 temples and 1000 Buddha’s Light International Associations in the world. Foguangshan has propagated the dharma around the world. Malaysia Foguangshan, is an
important branch which tries to follow the idea and development through the same objective. Malaysia Foguangshan succeeded to propagate dharma for 20 years. It established about 20 branches of temple and 20 branches of Buddha’s Light International Associations. Malaysia Foguangshan developed through 3 periods as follows: period infancy, period foundation, and period stable. After the 3 periods, Foguangshan began to get deep rooted. |
