| Abstract | 關於道安南下襄陽的爭議，本文第一次指出，道安僧團南下新野應是兩次，最後一次才到了襄陽。本文認為，道安出身士族，重視經義研習與組織制度，它的襄陽僧團歷經長期遷徙，主要由次等士族與流民組成，帶有次等士族的性格與流民的特點。至於慧遠的盧山僧團，它所具有的隱士性質，所提出的士大夫佛教綱領，及在實踐中表現出來的禪隱作風與豪傑性格，無不打上了東晉士族的烙印，是東晉士族文化品格、政治作風和精神面貌的直接反映。
