Abstract作為中國古典美學中的重要范疇“妙悟”源於禪宗的“頓悟”,正因為如此,歷代學者極為關注二者的相通之處,甚至將其等同看待,從而忽視了二者原本屬於不同領域的基本差異。實際上,由禪之“頓悟”到藝術之“妙悟”是一個揚棄的過程,是一種宗教或者說哲學思想轉化為藝術思想的過程。在中國美學史上,這一過程也就是中國文人的藝術思維在禪思維影響下所發生的一次大的轉換過程。我們知道,任何領域思維方式的轉換都是引起該領域思想革命的最根本的原因,因此,這一過程在整個中國美學史上具有不可估量的重要意義。 本文通過對“頓悟”與“妙悟”兩個概念進行橫向與縱向兩個方面的比較與梳理,對“妙悟”這樣一種藝術思維方式的形成進行理論上的追本溯源,試圖大體勾勒出由禪之“頓悟”到藝術之“妙悟”的這一過程,從而進一步探求禪思維向藝術思維轉化的內在理路與歷史脈絡。
'Miaowu' , as the important concept of Chinese ancient aesthetics, is originated from 'Dunwu' of Chan. Just because of this, the scholars in all ages stress on the similarities of them, and even regard them as the same. So they neglect the basic difference that they belong to different fields. In fact, from 'Dunwu' of Chan to 'Miaowu' of Art is a process of choice, a transferring from religion or philosophy thought to art thought.
