Abstract顧羨季評論國詩學與佛學關係時,詞家中獨舉辛稼軒,指明其中心思想與禪學全無關涉。然考諸禪宗史,兩宋士大夫少有不涉獵佛學者,尤其北宋中葉以後,由於「儒門淡薄,收拾不住,皆歸釋氏」。士大夫有意識地將禪學帶進文學藝術領域,影響宋詩學的發展。綜觀稼軒一生事蹟,大部分都在江西、湖南、浙江、福建擔任官職,杜牧〈江南春絕句〉:「南朝四百八十寺,多少樓臺煙雨中。」這些地方從六朝以來佛教一向鼎盛,江西、湖南更是南宗禪一花五葉的發源地,禪門素有「走江湖」之美談。尤其稼軒曾三次出仕江西,二十年間更投閑置散於上饒和鉛山,均與江西佛教洪州宗有密切關係。幼安自稱為「稼軒居士」,喜作禪林之遊,經常至博山寺、鵝湖寺、崇福寺等古剎參訪,甚至掛單、靜坐。晚年更是「心似孤僧」(〈漢宮春〉)、「但淒涼顧影,頻悲往事,殷勤對佛,欲問前因」(〈沁園春〉)。本文試著將稼軒詞中蘊涵之禪意佛境略加爬梳,期對辛詞理解有另一側面補助作用。
