Abstract藝術創造需要活潑的心靈與直觀能力,而一般宗教為了生命超越卻有種種的戒律禁忌,因此與藝術的相融即必須有賴另一層次的統合。但禪不然,他打破二元分割的概念世界,法無定法,且為了對治一般人的凡聖二分,在超凡入聖後,更拈提超聖回凡。「魔來魔斬,佛來佛斬」,這種不受拘束的性格與藝術家相同,而一但凡聖俱遣,洞見本性,則更活在一種全然當下,整體直觀的世界,這能力又與藝術家所悉求的相同,只是,更為徹底、更為超越,更為全面,開悟的人不須如藝術家般透過作品來述說自己,因為這時,禪者生命的全體就是藝術的自身。
