| Abstract | 星雲大師基於人間佛教表達了他的基督教觀，包括對待基督教的基本態度或基本原則，即「尊重與包容」和「宗教融和」；對基督教的基本看法，即基督教是「正信」的宗教，基督教是「歷史的」和「真理的」宗教，以及基督教是「天乘的佛教」。對基督教與人間佛教之同異比較，以及對基督教的看法。
This paper explores Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s view of Christianity on the basis of Humanistic Buddhism. He espouses that the foundational tenets of Christianity include “respect and tolerance” and “religious harmony.” Furthermore,
he writes that Christians share basic principles with Buddhists, such as the value of righteousness, faith in the “truth” of their religion, and a belief in the ability to enter a blissful heaven, similar to the heavenly realms of Buddhism. In addition,
Buddhism and Christianity share similarities in their historical development. This paper will also highlight similarities and differences between the two religions observed by Venerable Master Hsing Yun, as well as some of his critiques of
Christianity. |
