| Abstract | 觀音信仰在中國社會得以普及深入，其靈驗故事起了重大的作用，歷代以來，相關的故事流傳不絕。直到民國時期，儘管中國進入現代化，宗教信仰經常被視為對立面，備受質疑與批判，但觀音信仰仍深入人心，靈驗事蹟依然盛行。尤其在觀音的聖地普陀山，靈驗事蹟更形豐富，同時在大時代的動盪混亂下，更成為無數信仰者的精神寄望所在，普陀山的朝聖活動經年不歇，香火常興，與其觀音靈驗事蹟關係密切，也奠定觀音信仰的發展不墜。
The efficacious story of Guan-yin belief in Chinese society has played an important role. Through the dynasties, relevant efficacious stories have been circulating endlessly. Until the period of the Republic of China, despite China’s modernization, religious beliefs were often regarded as the opposite, which was questioned and criticized, but the Guan-yin belief was still deeply rooted in the
hearts of the people, and the efficacious deeds still prevailed. Especially in Mount Pu-tuo, the holy land of Guan-yin, the
efficacious deeds were more abundant. At the same time, under the turbulence and chaos of the era, it had become the spiritual hope of countless believers. The pilgrimage of Mount Pu-tuo has been endless for many years, and the incense was always flourishing. It is closely related to the efficacious deeds of Guan-yin, and it also laid the foundation for the development of Guan-yin belief.
