| Abstract | 義淨是中國佛教史上著名的譯經家，曾遊歷印度和南海逾二
十年，回國後譯經二百多卷，主要包括根本說一切有部的律典。
義淨譯作特點之一，是不時附夾注，內容除一般的釋詞、勘誤
外，還提供其對印度律制的親身見聞，並依此批評中土佛教，可
說是了解佛典翻譯、中印律制的寶貴資料，惜較少受學者注意。
本文整合義淨律譯夾注的內容及其意義，分衣、食、住、律制、
譯語等方面，作歸納和討論，最後總結對夾注的意義和價值，提
出一些觀察和評論，冀能增進對中印戒律實踐的理解。
Yijing is one of the famous Buddhist translator and pilgrim in the
history of Chinese Buddhism. He has traveled to India and South Seas
for more than 20 years. After returning to homeland, Yijing translated
more than 200 volumes of Buddhist scriptures, mainly including
Mūlasarvāstivāda-vinayas. One of the main characteristics of Yijing‟s
translations was that he always wrote interlinear notes which vary
from one to several hundreds words. In addition to the general
explanation and correction, these interlinear notes also provided
Yijing‟s personal experience of the Indian Buddhist monastic
discipline and made critiques on Chinese Buddhism. Such valuable
informations, unluckily, received little attention from present scholars.
This essay attempts to gather, categorize and examine all the relevant
Yijing‟s interlinear notes, with an eye to broaden our understanding of
Chinese and Indian Buddhist monastic practices. |
