| 抄録 | 日本佛教屬於北傳佛教之一，與印度佛教、南傳佛教、漢傳佛教、藏傳佛教等，並列為世界的五大佛教文化之一。日本佛教思想與宗派淵源於中國佛教，因民族性與地理環境的不同，而有異於中國宗派信仰的發展，在千餘年的發展史中，截至今日為止，各宗獨特的宗派文化對日本的文化與社會有深遠的影響。
日蓮宗為日蓮所創立，以《法華經》為中心，主張「妙法蓮華經」五字為佛教精髓，故又稱法華宗。自日蓮逝世後，本宗相繼分裂出許多的派別，受到時代變遷及政治演變的影響，無論新、舊教團，在海內外都能擁有一定的影響力。
本文採用文獻研究、統計分析及質化研究等研究方法，運用圖表、分布圖的說明與比較，以日蓮宗為研究核心，透過日本佛教之日蓮宗、日治時期臺灣佛教之日蓮宗、臺灣光復後的日蓮宗等主題做縱向及橫向的研究，一方面點出日本佛教與中國佛教的相異處；一方面說明日本佛教與臺灣佛教在日治時期的磨合與影響，進而為日蓮宗派別來臺先後、傳教概況做進一步詳細的介紹；一方面則是要瞭解臺灣光復後日蓮正宗與創價學會的傳臺緣由與現況分析。
期望透過本文的研究，不僅能理解日本佛教不同於其他佛教的獨特性與變容性，透過日治時期日本佛教對臺灣佛教影響的介紹，進而將臺灣光復後的佛教發展做一連貫性的說明。
Japanese Buddhism belongs to Mahayana tradition, and is one of the five Buddhist cultures around the world; Hindu Buddhism, Theravada, Chinese Buddhism and Tibetan Buddhism which are the other four prominent Buddhism cultures. Japanese Buddhism originates from Chinese Buddhism, due to the different ethnicity and geography from China, has made a different development since thousands of years ago. Until this day, the distinct culture of various sects of Japanese Buddhism have exerted a profound influence on Japanese culture and society.
Nichiren Buddhism was founded by Nichiren, which majored on the Lotus Sutra, and considered the Lotus Sutra to be the essence of Buddhism, hence was named “Hokke Shu” as well. Since the death of Nichiren, the sect has separated into various branches, many of which have gained power at home and overseas under the influence of age and political developments.
This paper adopts literature study, statistical analysis and qualitative research, along with graphs and distribution maps, to present a follow-up and cross-sectional study in Nichiren Buddhism of Japan, Taiwanese Nichiren Buddhism of the Japanese colonial period and Taiwanese Nichiren Buddhism after the Taiwan Restoration. On the one hand, we aim to uncover the difference between Japanese Buddhism and Chinese Buddhism; on the other, we endeavor to expound the discords and interactions of Japanese Buddhism and Taiwanese Buddhism of the Japanese colonial period, thereby giving a detail introduction on the history of the impartation of various sects of Japanese Nichiren Buddhism in Taiwan, and understanding how Nichiren Shoshu and Soka Gakkai had been imparted to Taiwan and making an analysis of current conditions.
It is expected that this study may throw light on the distinctiveness and accommodation of Japanese Buddhism. Meanwhile, through an introduction regarding how Japanese Buddhism has affected Taiwanese Buddhism in the Japanese colonial period, we have shed light on the evolution of Taiwanese Buddhism in the post-colonial period. |
