| 抄録 | 燒香，在人類的宗教歷史中，存在著一定程度的重要性，而且香的使用，多半都跟敬神是離不開的淵源關係，而且不分東西方。在臺灣這片美麗的土地上，歷經了四百多年外來政權轉移變化統治，不管是外來的宗教，還是原始土地上的信仰，也隨著歷史的演進，交互融合，慢慢形成了臺灣獨有屬於臺灣人的民間宗教信仰。臺灣在地理上及歷史上，是一個相當獨特的一個地方，也更因為臺灣與中國大陸有著複雜不可分的歷史背景，所以在於各個層面的發展與連接上，可說是世界少見，非常多的宗教都在臺灣發展開來，增加了臺灣在世界上的宗教特色。民眾到廟宇去『燒香敬神』，是很多民間宗教『信仰者』，幾乎都會做的儀式行為，更是一種獨特的文化，筆者我也是其中一員，甚至是從小至今的，也更有著一份特殊的情感。
對於『燒香敬神』的宗教文化，不論在歷史面，文化面，經濟面，功能面，或者是其他思想面，意義面，環境面，都有著它珍貴的意涵存在，近年來在環保上雖然開始討論到減香問題，但其重要性仍是不變。所以對於此流傳已久的民俗傳統，以多面向的角度，來看待燒香與敬神之間，一般民眾與臺灣社會之間，環保與宗教之間，是如何重視這份的儀式精神。
香在中國文化發展上有著融合漢人的獨特性，也發展出了香道，多了份哲學韻味。文人在生活中的香，不僅僅只有在宗教的部分。而之乎於民眾對於『燒香敬神』這份禮儀，希望也能夠知道儀式背後的精神意涵，對於此行為文化，不僅只是願望相求或功利主義思考，而能進階學習神明的仁德，也禮敬自己的心與良善，還有精神的傳承及發揚。
The behavior of burning incense has an important existence with high level, and the original relationship connects with God-worship. No matter what it belongs to western or eastern, it is undoubtable. Many countries came and concurred this island during four hundred years, and the beliefs from western and original permeated one called traditional religions. It is because that we have got a unique position in the world and complicated history progress from China and Taiwan. There are plenty of religions and believers preached their own religion to people migrated from China to Taiwan. They made us to become a pluralistic society and multi-religions. People always burned incense to the God and prayed the safe and well in the lifetime, even started form the childhood. It is a special emotion with it for us.
The culture of religion with 『Burning incense and God worship』 is worthy of existence, including history, economy, literacy, function, thinking, environment and meaning. Recent years, many scholars discussed to reduce the incense because of the pollution of air problem. But it is difficult to do that it is already become a habit in our daily life. The importance of value is incommensurable definition between incense and Gods, people and society, and environment and religion.
The special and unique development of Chinese culture is incense culture with natural philosophy. Sometimes the literati thought that incense-using is more than religion, it should be much fun in our living lives. We hope that we can provide to many people understanding what is the real meaning in burning incense and God worship.
Many people prays to God in order to make their dreams come true or wishes become real, but it should not be just like that. It should not that only respect to God, but also be thankful to yourself, your conscience, and your mind. |
